Who am I
Hi! My name is Rick van Druten and I'am 27 old and
living/born in The
Netherlands. Nice that you have a look on my portfolio here you can find
information about
the things that I'am doing at the moment. I am also known by two other names
namely
'TheProudWolf' and
'WentersStudios'. TheProudwolf is a name that I am using for a while inside the
Minecraft
community. In this community I am working on a project called 'PhantasiaCraft'
for like 9
years. More information about this project can be found in the 'Portfolio'
section. The name WentersStudios was used in the time that I was making websites and
applications for clients.
But I stopped doing this for some years and since then my portfolio
can be found
on this
domain.
Path
After completing my MBO-4 Application Developer education, I first started with
being a
salesman.
The reason behind this is becuause I wasn't sure about working inside the IT
branch.
But during this work I was still programming in my spare time.
That made me sure, I want to work as a programmer!
So I first started looking for a job in IT and started as a 'Junior PHP
Developer'.
While looking for a job in IT, I came to the conclusion that it is almost a must
to have a
HBO Bachelor's degree in my region to get a good job.
In addition, this gives me a better basis to become a good programmer.
That's why I decided to after working as a full-time programmer for half a year,
to dive
back into the books and start a full-time HBO education.
Fortunately, I was supported through thick and thin by my parents and my dear
girlfriend
Anouk with whom I have been in a relationship since March 10, 2017.
As a result, I managed to receive my HBO bachelor's degree in February 2023.
Language
I'am speaking the following languages:

- German
Sport
I have quite a lot of hobbies. For example, I like to do sports in my spare
time,
the sports I do are running, mountain biking and cycling.
I also like a nice walk through nature from time to time.
Themeparks
Since I was 20 I have developed a love for amusement parks. I especially find
the technology, storys and music behind attractions extremely interesting. My favorite
themepark
is the Efteling. This is because I think the fairy tales and nature in the Efteling are
very beautiful.
Music
From hardstyle to classic music and metal I love a lot music genres.
For several years I played as a DJ on an online radio station. Because of this I
have learned to respect all music and I actually like to listen to all genres in
general. But if I really have to choose, my favorite genre is metal/rock. My
favorite bands are Rammstein, Epica, Nightwish, Spiritbox and Arch Enemy.
Gaming
If I really have time left, I also play a game on the computer. The games I play
vary enormously, it just depends on what I feel like. But if I had to pick a
game that I've played for years, it would be World of Warcraft.
